re: re: LOCAH, Anxiety, Birth Control Pills
Jan. 2nd, 2008   12:27pm
You know what, come to think of it, when I was on dex I didn't have any strong anxiety issues such as panic disorder, PTSD, etc. I had these issues a few times in my life, one of them being when I was on birth control. Being on the BC actually turned me agoraphobic, which I never thought could be possible. My panic disorder was just sooo intense. I read that people with low cortisol are more prone to PTSD and panic. I think the birth control sent me over the edge of insanity. It probably took away my androgens, which were the only thing I had going for me. The studies also said that taking dex actually helps reduce anxiety symptoms. I'm afraid to take any pills again, but I know that I must. I'm growing a beard, yuck. I'm extremely girly, so this is not cute...
