re: to question!

Is your ACTH 1,700 pg/ml? If so, then you need to start back on your Dex immediately. Do you know what your other levels are ----like 17-ohp, testosterone etc?

Starting the Dex or any corticosteroid does not mean that you can't have genetic/DNA testing done also. Steroids have no affect on your genetic profile. I wonder if the doctor is suspecting with an ACTH that high, that you may have two classical genes rather than you being non-classical!!!

The lethargy and shakes are definitely related to being adrenally insufficient. Are you hyperpigmented - ie. bronzed/tanned skin at the moment?

Why Dr New? Have you been her patient before? If you say where you live someone here hopefully will be able to guide you to a good doctor or facility in your area or contact CARES for a CAH competent doctor!

Megan
