I have this same problem. I am on medication for thyroid disease - have been for 10 years. When I was tested at NIH with CAH , I noticed how I really had problems remembering a sequence of words... they said my memory wasn't what it should be as well.
I've learned to write things down - math has always been a struggle because of my memory, and directions to places are no fun either.
For me, I think it is linked to CAH - not thyroid.
