I was taken off steroids at 14 and then put back on them at 21. The years I was off the steroids I had blood work pulled once a year by my gyn (when came off the steroids I had a 3 month period and had to get put on birth control which my mom and I believe acted as a steroid for a time).
Just make sure she is still being monitored. My locah went into kind of a remission for those 7 yrs and then came back full throtle, so just have her montiroed closely evwen if it's once a year.
