First of all, what symptoms has your daughter been having and what led to her diagnosis? Often LOCAH only shows up at puberty, so you may not have missed anything. If she had early puberty or grew quickly and then stopped growing early, those could have been signs.
As far as whether to treat with steroids or not, there is some leeway. Some people do well with just BCP or antiandrogens. It would depend on how bad your daughter's symptoms are and how well she responds to treatment. There is a lot of trial and error with treatment. Most people have to try different meds and doses before they find the right one.
I think that if you have concerns about starting steroids, you should certainly talk to your daughter's dr about that. It makes sense to me to take it slow and see how she does on Yaz first. Also, regarding anxiety, some people find that steroids help with that, but everyone is different.
