Hi Kat!  Thank you so much for your reply.  When my daughter had her Stim test, she had been off the steroids for several years so that couldn't have affected the test.  I thought maybe she had some damage to her adrenals from taking the high doses of steroids (.75 mgs dex for 9 months) when she was first dx in 1999, that could have possibly affected the stim test, also, she takes Adderall for her ADD, an amphetamine, that "pushes" the adrenal glands, that could have made a difference too.  I'm just trying to think of all the possibilities because she obviously has NCCAH.  My son and I are "carriers" according our stim test results and we have symptoms too!  As I have learned about this disorder, I can remember having symptoms all of my life and have wondered if "carriers" are just a milder form of NCCAH.  It seems my symptoms have "waxed and waned" throughout my lifetime.  I have even had acanthosis nigricans, the dark velvety skin on my genitalia, in my 20's.  I will get a copy of her stim test and contact Dr. New's office about getting a copy of the DNA tests.  Wouldn't it be wonderful if Dr's had a data base they could share of all the symptoms, treatment and new information about this disorder!  It feels good knowing I'm not alone in my struggles, thank you again!
