I have a son with Salt wasting CAH. For years (about 15) I have been telling doctors that I don't feel well at all. Stress puts me in bed for days. My cortisol levels always came back normal.
I finally convinced a doc to do the ACTH challenge test on me and I am not producing adequate cortisol. I have been on 20mg cortef a day for a week. How long does it take to start feeling better?
I am also Hypothyroid and have been on thyroid for over a month now.
Still not feeling well.....
