Steroids and Pregnancy
Mar. 18th, 2008   11:52am
I have mild LOCAH and take .25 mg of dexamethasone. My only big symptoms are excess hair, slightly high testotsterone and high 17-OH (1510 without stimulation and no dex).

My endo told me that when I get pregnant she will switch me to prednosone. She said pred doesn't cross into the barrier of the baby, so it is safe, whereas dex crosses. But, I am reading so much about women on this board taking dex while pregnant. This really confuses me.

Also, can I just not take anything and be safe. On the flip side of not taking drugs, if I have high testosterone will that hurt the baby?
