re: hypersensitive hearing and smell.
Apr. 16th, 2008   8:33am

I have been hypersensitive to odours for many years; things like perfumes, raw petroleum and it's combusted fumes, bleach (sodium hyperchlorite), cigarette smoke (yuk) etc. Nauseating!

Lately however it seem to have gotten worse, almost like a multiple chemical sensitivity, so it is heightened even more.

I don't like excessive noise - peace and quiet is my game. Do you think rock concerts are just 'noise'?????Hehe! I do! Very stressful!

Also have a light sensitivity - hate bright lights. Must have been born staring up into the bright delivery room lights and have had an aversion to them ever since! Strongly dislike fluorescent lights too! Soft lighting is my preference.

I wonder how these three senses (hearing, smell and light - vision) impact negatively on our stress levels, from an adrenal point of view?

Megan
