re: recently diagnosed help!

If your testosterone, DHEA-s and 17-hydroxyprogesterone came back abnormal, these, along with your symptoms sounds confirmatory for LOCAH. The symptoms you mention are exactly the kind of symptoms encountered with LOCAH.

What were your levels if you don't mind me asking? It is a very good idea to get a copy of all the tests that you have done, both now and in the future. This will help you understand more of what is happening and how controlled you are with the steroids.

Improvement should happen over time. It probably won't be overnight ;-) though.

Unwanted facial hair may improve somewhat but once hair follicles are established one often needs to resort to other methods to get rid of it. I would advise waiting though to see what happens first.

Once the hormonal balance is restored and monthly menstrual cycles resume, it often doesn't take long for fertility to improve.

Other than that I can't suggest much more at this point other than welcome to the board and keep the questions coming!

Megan
