re: started myself on dex- crazy?
Apr. 22nd, 2008   3:38pm
Since you are pre-diabetic and at risk for osteoporosis, I would make sure to follow up with my doctor pretty soon. You don't want to develop full blown diabetes and not be aware of it.  Those are some of the more serious effects of steroidal drugs, so just be cautious and see your doctor for follow up testing.  I know the Dex is making you feel better now, but potentially you could feel worse if you develop these other diseases.  It could also effect your eyes if you have a family history of glaucoma and/or cataracts.  I do, that's why I won't take Dex, plus it acutally made me feel a bit crazy.  All the best!
Hope Suzanne
