I'm sorry. This question is probably really dumb, but is Dex the same as Dexamethasone? It sounds like it is. I just wanted to make sure. I have PCOS and now an endocronologist who has reviewed my labs thinks I really have late-onset CAH. I'm 31 and my acne seems to be getting worse rather than better. I'm on Yasmin and Metformin. I was told that I could try Dexamethasone (.25 or .5mg) to see if it helped balance out the hormones. Is that pretty standard? Anyone else have the same message given to them?
