Well done to your endocrinologist for thinking of a possible LOCAH diagnosis for you. I would suggest though that if it is quite mild (depending on your levels), only try 0.25mg, don't even think about taking 0.5mg - it would be too much for you. People with the severe form of CAH often take 0.5mg or sometimes even less. It's a powerful drug and in the past has often been given at inappropriately high doses.
Start at 0.25mg and you may even be able to go down to 0.125mg after you are stabilised.
