Yes, my dermatologist actually contacted an endocronologist and asked him to review my labs. My derm. is a fabulous person. I don't know if I'd ever have gotten any help without her. My regular doctor tried me on metformin because my testosterone was so high and so was my DHEA. Because I was diagnosed with PCOS she thought Metformin would help. So I've been on it since January 08. I'm not very good at taking pills so my two times a day dosage is usually just one pill in the morning. I read somewhere that people with LOCAH are often first diagnosed with PCOS. I do have cysts on my ovaries and have taken birth control pills since I was 17. I'm 31 now. I did have my gallbladder removed 2 years ago...wasn't functioning correctly. I know there is a correlation with birth control pill use and gall bladder disease. I'm still wondering if I should OFFICIALLY be tested for LOCAH and who is the best person to do that...my derm, an endo, an obgyn, or my regular doctor. Is it just a blood test or is there other testing? I've also been really dizzy lately and I remember reading somewhere (I think on this message board) about someone else feeling really dizzy. I don't know. It could be related to something else completely.

As far as keeping copies of my tests, yes I do have them. Just not with me right now. I remember that prior to metformin that my testosterone was 79 of some unit and my DHEA was like 324 and then after metformin it was like 366. My testosterone had dropped to within the normal range after metformin but my DHEA went higher. She wants to wait 6 mos (which will be this August) to see if my DHEA goes down. It was not my reg doctor that talked to the endo, it was my derm, so I need to see what my regular doctor says about LOCAH. My derm, of course, is worried about the acne...which is more cystic than it's ever been before. I tried accutane 3 times, every antibiotic, spirnolactone (but had an allergic reaction), every topical creme...I've even done light therapy and then laser resurfacing because it's been so bad...and it's not getting any better the older I get.

So, that's my story. Anything else I should ask my doctors? I appreciate your help!
