Besides the usual labs like, OH17 Progesterone, Androstendione, DHEA, Cortisol, Renin, the BEST test is an ACTH Stimulation test which  is when they take your blood, then administer an IV medication to stimulate Cortisol production through your adrenals and then draw more blood to see if indeed your adrenal did react to that medication and if they indeed produce adequate amounts of Cortisol.  That test is the most accurate to see if you make enough Cortisol to survive on your own or if you need more via pills.
