What goes into getting pregnant?
May. 30th, 2008   2:34pm

Ok, I'm a newly diagnosed LOCAHer.  Due to reasons still unknown after many a visit to the gyn, I'm into the 9th week of my menstrual cycle... yes, 9wks of ebb and flow bleeding.  I was dxed with PCOS before LOCAH and have always had problems with my periods, but this is ridiculous.  I've decided to try for pregnancy ASAP and then get a hysterectomy.  So what goes into getting pregnant with LOCAH?

Do I need genetic counselling?  I need to know if my S.O. carries the gene too right?  Is that something that's covered by insurance?  I wouldn't even know where to go for something like that.

Am I going to have to take medicine to get pregnant?  To stay pregnant?  I tried to get pregnant with my exhusband.  We went to a fertility specialist.  Progesterone to start the period and clomid to induce ovulation back then, but never got pregnant.  How much will LOCAH complicate pregnancy?

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
