My daughter is 16. She was suppose to be taking metformin because she has been dxed insulin resistant. Since she isn't taking her meds right (Cortef or Met) she has gained some weight. I on the other hand lose weight when I don't take my steroid or not enough.
Before I was treated I did not have a problem with weight, not until after being on steroids. Then my daughter had gotten kind of chunky around age 10, then was dxed, gained more weight from too much steroid, dose was cut in half, she grew into herself lost weight and now a few years later is pleasantly plump. So am I! But I don't think it's so pleasant, lol.
