No diagnosis...confused and
Jun. 14th, 2008   12:33am

Hey everyone...

So, I've been going to my endocrinologist trying to figure out why my androgen levels are abnormally high and when she tested me for CAH.....she said the levels changed but not enough for me to be diagnosed. yet, if I didn't have it...nothing would have changed. She really didn't seem to have an idea of what is up with me, it's like she said I have it but I don't,...I don't really have any other symptoms besides androgen effects (excess hair) so she just put me on aldactone. I really don't understand what's going on and what I should do about this. Should I just take the aldactone and see what happens...should I get a second opinion? Could this be more serious than my doctor seems to think? I've been tested for everything else under the sun and my results are all negative. All I want is to fix this androgen problem and reduce this excess hair. If anybody has any advice or thoughts on my situation, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Also, if someone could recommend an endocrinologist in the Washington DC metro area or somewhere in VA...I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

Lauren
