wondering...
Jun. 14th, 2008   1:43pm
After many years of symptoms, such as fatigue, anxiety, getting more coarse hair on face, acne on face and upper body, etc.,  I found this site.  I just received a lab that says my DHEA-S is 647 (0 - 240?).  It had been normal for the last few years, as I have had quite an endo work-up over the last few years.  I only have one ovary, but it, for years, has only had one cyst, at 1 cm.  All my life, w/o birth control, I had clockwork periods, up until a few years ago, now about 1 period a year.  Does the high DHEA-S suggest LOCAH might be a possibility?  I have also had upper abdominal bloating really bad for the last few years, and now wonder if the CT scans did not adequately show adrenal size.  By the way, a year ago they were Ct my abdomen to watch a 7 mm adenoma on my adrenal.  My cortisol has never showed up low.  Thanks for any input on the DHEA!
