re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: re: metformin for LOCAH?
Jun. 16th, 2008   10:51am

I have been diagnosed just two years ago. I'm not English, so sorry for my English. I don't know since when I have LOCAH because I have on the pill (diane 35) since I was 17 years old. I was on the pill because I had seborrea and hair loss. But two years ago my endo told me to stop taking diane35 for checking my hormones. Well, he discovered that my cortisol was a little bit low and my 17 hidroxi-progesterone was high. ( But when I was on the pill, my cortisol was ok, even high, and my 17 hidroxi-progesterone was also ok) So he asked me to choose between dexametasone or diane35. After reading on the net everything I could, I thought maybe was going to be better to continue with diane35 and not with steroids.

I wanted to share this information with you. Now I am 32 years old and I know I cannot take diane35 for the rest of my live, but for the moment, I preffer taking diane35. My weith is ok, I am 1.68 meters and I am 57 kg (sorry I don't know the measure you use)

So diane35 is working for me. Anyway, I'm glad I find out this site because I will ask my endo about metformin

Eva
