yeah that's how I get. I get so shaky, my heart pounds...I feel terrified and ready to lose it on someone all at the same time. I've always felt my response to any kind of confrontation was very very intense. I'm not an aggressive person...more of a quite shy type and very sensitive. It's very overwhelming at times and I feel like I'm the only person I know who reacts with such intensity. Although I think my acting has become quite good (a skill I needed to learn in order not to seem like an emotional nutcase :-o in confrontations) I always worry that people will really know whats going on behind my "calm cool and collected (atleast I try desperately hard to make it appear that way)" response in tuff situations. Even still my face always get really red and I get pretty nervous...it also takes me a while to get the situation "out of my system" so to speak. I can literally feel the effects for like 2-4 hours afterwards sometimes longer depending on the type of stressful situation I'm in.
