It sure sounds like LOCAH. My daughter got stretch marks when she was 15yrs old too. If your regular doc did routine blood work that only shows the results for routine stuff. She would have to do specific labs like OH17 Progesterone, Cortisol level, DHEA-s, Testosterone, etc. You have the symptoms of LOCAH with the growth spurt then stopped growing, hair (although that is connected to PCOS), but the virulization is definitely LOCAH. You could have both LOCAH & PCOS as my daughter does. Just wait to go to your endocrinologist and let them do a complete LOCAH work-up. Hopefully he will give you an ACTH Stimulation Test to determine EXACTLY how your adrenals respond to stress. Genetic testing would sure be helpful just to put your mind at ease to know exactly which defective genes you have. My entire family (3kids & husband) all had genetic testing. My 3 kids have LOCAH and it was found that my one daughter had one LOCAH and one Simple virulizing gene. Thats when I found out I had LOCAH too. I really thought all my chin, upper lip and belly hair was just bad luck and I had to pluck!! Good luck and hang in there. A whole new world is opening up to you and it sounds like you have done lots of reading thus far, so good for you! Sometimes the answers take awhile, but you will learn. There are lots of meds to help with all these health issues, so you will get better. I believe Dexamethosone can even shrink your private part. Again, hang in there!!
