re: re: re: re: Daughter having surgery - any advice???
Dec. 28th, 2007   10:49pm
My daughter had surgery last year when she was 9 months old. She did fabulous. The surgery lasted about 2-3 hours, and she was awake and moving around within 5 minutes. We went home that same day, and she was back to 'normal' within the day! I think it's more nerve wracking for mom than child! Although, all kids are different.

Our doctor told us to stress dose the day before the surgery and for a couple days after, but your doctor will talk to you about all that. We were also told not to give her anything to eat or drink after midnight before surgery. Hopefully your doctor has told you all of the things you need to do.

Good luck

Rebecca
