I'm glad you are deciding to stick it out, since stopping Cortef would be a death wish for you.
Even if you had nonclassic cah, you have been on steroids so long that your adrenals would not kick in on their own and you could die.
But considering you have SW CAH, therefor can't make any Cortisol at all on your own, you will die without steroid replacement.
To me Cortef is a Godsend.
