We've used the original Cortef for 5 years now, and just recently were given the generic. We haven't noticed any difference as far as "doing the job" of Cortef, but as already mentioned, it is definitely hard to get a clean cut -and we use halves for both our boys. I told our endo and she wrote a prescription for the non-generic/original Cortef. I haven't put it through the pharmacy yet, so we'll see what happens cost-wise. But it has to be worth it just to be sure they're getting the full dose.
