I read below in the thread titled something about CAH girls being attracted to other women.
I was born the same year as you, but I don't have CAH, I am a carrier. I have a 7 year old boy (no CAH), and 6 year old girl (no CAH--yesterday was her birthday. I can't believe she is 6) and a 1.5 year old boy who does have swCAH. My first two children have a different father from the third who has CAH.
It's funny because my husband is from a somewhat insular community in Bolivia where he grew up surrounded by cousins. For generations certain families in the community married with certain other families from the community. They never married first or second cousins or anything like that, but there has been little mixing outside the group of people who live in his vicinity. When he came to the U.S. and met me, I teased him that his family line could use some fresh blood and what an irony that we were the ones who produced a baby with a genetic disease!
