re: sleep problems in CAH babies
Jan. 14th, 2008   6:03pm

My daughter is 14 months old and she did the same thing around 11 months old.  I wouldn't give her food and I got to the point where I started using Johnson's sleep lotion and body wash.  I let her cry it out and did that, she started sleeping wonderfully.  I won't give her any food or anything past a certain time because I feel that it is a habit she will continue to have if I continue to do it for her.  I know that I have read in most cases kids will get used to waking up to get a glass of water and they'll continue to do it, unless you try to change that habit.

But I do believe that my daughter is affected by the medicine because I was the same way when I was a baby.  I hardly took naps and I didn't sleep very long.  Now on the other hand, I sleep as much as I can because I am always tired.

Liz
