Hi there!

As dull as this sounds, this is just a maths question.

CAH is a recessive genetic disorder. What this means is that you need a faulty PAIR to actually have CAH, otherwise you are a carrier.

i.e. To show these as a lsit, if "c" is CAH, and "N" is normal

Nc - carrier
cN - carrier
NN - normal
cc - has CAH

Which gives you your one in 4 chance. The chance of having a second child with CAH is quarter x quarter i.e. 1 in 16.
