re: Any CAHer have any surgery with slow recovery? Jan. 19th, 2008 5:09am
Hey Lynn. He continues to be in our prayers.
You know perhaps he is slow to heal because he is at a rapid growth with puberty. And his body just can't keep up with ALL the changes at one time. So perhaps this is compromised. I don't know the answer. My daughter is a pretty quick healer, but that is with skin stuff. Her reconstruction surgery she healed from very quickly too. Maybe anyone with bone breaks could answer the question better?
Have you researched anything that Christopher Reeves had worked on? Is there any medical research that has panned out for spinal cord injuries? Stem cell stuff they can do? It may take some digging though. Is there anyone that can come in and talk to him that has the same injuries or close to them that he can be motivated by or his spirits picked up? I just am so sad for him to be struggling like this spiritually. I just believe he will make a full recovery, but with a LOT of time, patience, and strong spirit. I just saw this on the news I think in the spring of last year. I think the gentleman was in a football accident, and they said forget walking etc. It took A LOT of grueling hard work but the boy is walking. But I don't know what his particular paralysis was. Just hang in there Lynn, I know this is going to be ok. MIRACLES DO HAPPEN!
