re: After-birth experiences
Jan. 20th, 2008   2:26pm
My daughter has taken her medication since birth. It's actually pretty easy. We just put her pills in a syringe (which you can get from the doctor or pharmacy), dissolve the medicine in some juice (or water, or milk) and then give it right to her. I don't see why it would be a problem to breastfeed. You could just give her the syringe of medicine, then continue feeding. Or, I don't know if the pill itself would go down while she's feeding or not. My daughter can take the pill on it's sometimes without dissolving, and sometimes she spits it back out.

As for the hospital question, I can't say for sure because my daughter was not diagnosed before birth. But, her hospital stay afterwards was around 3-4 days.

Rebecca
