I have. Not pleasant. In fact I get the "flu jab" as Rick put it and still come down with the form of the flu that the jab doesn't cover!! Weakened immune system due to 37 yrs of hydrocortisone treatment, is what I blame it on. I just take extra hydrocortisone, when I can keep it down; otherwise I go to the ER, explain the situation, and if the ER doc isn't an idiot I get a hydrocortisone shot or IV drip. Sadly to say, though, the drs in our local ER ARE idiots and I wind up having to go to the next "big" town over. Keep your son hydrated! Lemon lime Gatorade is what I prefer when I'm sick. Don't give him enough to make him sick it up, though--a few sips at a time.
