I have two kids with NC CAH. They take dexamethasone (liquid), and I dose them 1x per day in the AM when they wake up. I was under the impression that hydro is dosed on a circadian rhythm, not dex.
My kids take dexamethsone elixir 0.5/5mL. My 11 year old (175lbs) is taking 1/4ml. My 7 year old daughter (86 lbs) is taking 0.9ml.
When my kids were diagnosed with CAH 4 years ago they were given dex in a pill form. They both ended up being oversupressed. I dosed them at night in error. They need to be dosed in the early AM.
