re: Cystoscopy on a 10 month old
Jan. 31st, 2008   4:16pm
Gail-My daughter had several cystoscopies between ages 2 and 4.  They were outpatient procedures under general anasthesia, IV meds (solucortef) and a schedule of meds to follow afterwards, (ordered by the endo).  She faired well, had a little stinging upon urination, but it usually went away in 24 hours.  I think it was more traumatic for us, the parents.  We gave her a little children's Tylenol to help with the discomfort.  Good luck!
Pamela
