Hi Sally: I am a Pediatric Oncologist and a father of a girl with SWCAH. MIBG is a very sensitive and specific test for a tumor called Neuroblastoma and this tumor often sits on the adrenal glands. However high BP is not the way it presents. I would also point to the fact that some children with SWCAH do have hypertension (high BP) and the cause of this is not known. Without knowing any more history I cannot say anything specific regarding your child but I seriuosly doubt that she has any tumors. Her increased BP maybe related to her CAH.
