While I have ncah, I did have very heavy periods when I was 12 till I was 14 and was put on birth control. In fact I even had a 3 month period, that really was no fun. My endo recommended I see a gyn and the gyn put me on birth control. I started with ortho-cyclin which is what is commonly used for young women with heavy periods (even those who don't have cah). I know take a pill that allows me to only have a period 4 times a year, due to other problems.
