I am sure you were doing what you thought was best for your daughter or maybe the doctors told you it was "what's best". However, you do not know how your daughter will feel when she is older... there could be nerve damage or maybe she would have wanted to keep her original genitalia. I'm just speaking from experience. I was 9 when I had the surgery, and in my opinion, that was not even old enough to understand what I was deciding. You may never even know what the consequences are from the surgery since it isn't comfortable telling your parents as an adult about your sexual feelings (or lack of).
