Everyone is different I suppose. I have been told since birth that I have salt-wasting CAH. I stopped taking my meds 9 years ago and I am still alive even though the endo said I would die. I do have very low blood pressure and the endo a few days ago told me that I must not be 100% salt-wasting or I would be dead. I have had side effects from not taking meds, like more masculine features, high testosterone, low blood pressure, no period, etc. Those are the reasons that I want to find a medicine that I can take that doesn't have the horrible side effects that cortisones cause.
I dont recommend stopping your meds unless you have thought about what could possibly happen. It's a crap shoot though.... I have never met another person my age (31) who has SWCAH and didn't take meds; so maybe that's saying something.
