Hey Neesie, I quit smoking with both of my pregnancies...cold turkey and it was NOT easy. I never smoked around my children or in the house whenever I did start back up. So whenever I did quit for good, I quit for myself. I weaned down to about 4 cigarettes a day over a course of a few months. So after I quit I had 2 dreams that I was smoking, then never again. It has been about 9 years I think. My girl was 6 years old, and she's almost 16....now I look back and wonder how I was ever a smoker...I can't stand the smell of it and it makes my sinuses act up terribly.
Laura I'm sorry you are having to go through this, and I'm sorry your mom is suffering. I have a friend here that is going through the same thing with her mom. It is so sad, and it was preventable at one point. God bless.
