Introducing myself
Feb. 3rd, 2008   1:21pm

Hello. I live in Finland and I have cah. I am 31 years old female and I am sw but only a bit. At the moment my medication is dexametason 0,375mg 4 times/week and Florinef 0,15mg/day. Two times I had surgeries and that was two times too much... I had my problems during my life and bad memories too but anyways I got through them quite nicely thanks to myself and few people in my life. :)

Nowadays I live my life together with my partner and I am very happy girl with him. :) We are trying to get pregnant and will be very happy if this will happen. We have tried just one month now so there is no need to worry yet.

Despite of the problems I had to deal with my cah I love myself and my life. Without cah I might not be the girl I am now. So I see my condition has had a lot of positive affects on me as well. Also my sex life is great even though (or because of...) my genitalia is not normal (it is normal in my point of view).

I would like to ask few questions from you and would be thankful for any answers.

Question nr 1: Is there any bad effect on dex if this is your main medication for cah? I used to take Hydrocortison and Prednison but ended up to dex because its longterm affects.

Question nr 2: Does dex affect on getting pregnant in some way (good or bad)?

Question nr 3: Maybe you girls with cah can tell me how long you had to try before you got pregnant?

Question nr 4: In my opinion there is no such a thing called normal genitalia. What do you think about that?

It is nice that you have the message board and I can see that it has helped many people dealing with cah. So the importance of this message board is so huge that there are no words to describe it. :) I wish a happy life to all reading this post. Be positive, it works! :)
