We have a spirited SWCAH daughter and have used a number of methods over the past couple of years. Firstly dissolved in a pacifier medicine dropper, later when she was on solids hidden in her apple sauce, back to pacifier dropper when she caught onto that one and most recently (at 2 1/2 ) she happily swallows the pills herself. We have had battles at certain points getting her to take the meds (at one terrible stage when she a baby one of us had to hold her down while the other administered meds) but thankfully those stages pass. I've found the best approach is to be very matter of fact and try not to make it a big deal (ie. muster up all your mommy acting abilities to disguise the fact that you secretly terrified they might refuse!). Hope this helps.
