Wow--how scary for you!! Where I work, there are two children (one younger and one 17 years old) with both conditions you mentioned and both have shunts. They are ok but can't do many physical activities like contact sports.

As for the surgery, like the others have posted, your daughter's endo should be contacted before the surgery and be in touch with the surgeon as well!! I've never known anyone who has had brain surgery so I can't speak to the recovery time.
