Hi, both my SWCAH girls suddenly started gaining weight around 6 - 7 yrs and it was fast all of a sudden thier very weighty and ones blood pressure went up, my endo said we should try and lower there weights and see if that helps but that meant a complete overhall of our fridge and cupboards as i bought a lot of pre packaged foods for school and snacks that all had to go and we just had to be consistant with what they eat, after three months thier weight and bp became fine again but as soon as they start to put on weight they notice the difference in themselves and have now adopted a very healthy eating plan it wasnt easy but for thier health it had to be done, one thing i have noticed on this site is lots of girls struggle with thier weight around this age so its important i think to really watch what they eat, the girls endo shook thier hands and congratulated them for taking extra care with there condition and how they are monitoring it and told them they should be proud of themselves for taking the opportunity to change things this was all they needed to hear to continue. good luck
