If you do have to add salt
Mar. 11th, 2008   7:36am

For the first while until he was on solid foods we added sodium chloride to our son's bottles. It is available by prescription from the pharmacy.

The Dr. who diagnosed our son started him on a 23.3% solution and our Endo liked the idea but just with a decreased dose 0.3%. For those who don't know it is simply the same fluids that they use to give you fluids in the hospital. Because it is a liquid it was so much easier to add and mix in a bottle. It is a little more expensive than salt, but he is worth every penny.
