re: To Gail

Gail you are right there are people who do well and have no problems with their CAH which hold them back,  BUT problems can occur from inappropriate treatment.  This is well documented.  The issue I have with what you say is with stop reading these blogs, I call them posts, these are real problems that you can learn from.

The most important thing in CAH is knowledge.  I have learnt a lot from these blogs, as doctors sometimes do not take CAH and our worries seriously enough.  Yes do not be overwhelmed by the problems that could occur but be AWARE of them so you can prevent them.

Jan, an adult who posts here often and Rick are very positive and seemingly have had no real problems, so take comfort from that but you can learn from others.

Treatment is getting better as doctors learn more.  I am grateful to everyone who posts on this board, as I have learnt so much and prevented problems. Prevention is better than cure, and I would rather know what to look out for than miss something I could have prevented. Doctors do not live with the problems and some are not as good as others at treating CAH.
