re: To Gail

Gail, never ever stop giving up hope for a cure or some other way our children can be witout CAH. If you have hope you have everything. (this is on a sign on the back of my kitchen door with an angel on it) I had a friend of mine ask me one day years ago, "Laura do you ever pray for a cure for your daughter?" I chuckled at her and said, no not really. I mean how could they ever cure something genetic Cindy?" And she said, "Laura why not?" Just why not she asked. It took me back. Why not hope? She went on to quote scriptures from the bible about the miracles that have been performed and why not one day it become our miracle she said. WOW, never thought of that. The greatest gifts God gives us according the bible is, "Faith, HOPE, and Love". It makes sense doesn't it? So don't ever give up hope Gail. Maybe just maybe one day they will come up with a way to transplant that adrenal gland. Maybe some day they will improve the way transplant recipients can live without medicine. Why not hope? Do you know that the very next week after Cindy my friend asked me about praying for a miracle of healing, and I did pray for one, that (I swear to God on this) the very next week someone posted here about this study that was being performed on lab mice that fixed CAH? I can't remember what the study was exactly and I am sure it is in the archives somewhere but Dr. New I believe was working on this cure that was many many years away from it being experimented with humans with CAH but still. There my proof was. Even though I had no idea a cure was being worked on, it was POSSIBLE. A cure was possible somewhere out there.  Sure be sure to keep yourself grounded and meet CAH head on. But always keep in your heart, hope that one day there will be a cure some day.  HOPE, if you have hope you have everything.
Laura
