Moodiness in babies with CAH Mar. 14th, 2008 8:42am
I know every child, with or without CAH, is different. But my daughter, 13 month SWCAH, is a VERY moody baby. She is not really using her words yet and I know at this age, again with or without CAH, that babies are more whiny because they can't tell you what they need. But my daughter is beyond whiny. She will cry like she is in pain, but nothings wrong (that I can see) and then a little while later she will get distrcted and be happy playing for a little bit, then back to screaming. I was wondering if any of you have seen this in your CAH children? Could it be related to the steriod? I understand that we are just replacing what the body would typically make, so there is not extra, but if she is being oversuppressed (which I am asking about at our next endo appt next month) could the constant extra steriod make her moody?
