Sherry-It's OK-I remember being very nervous about school starting for my daughter. I would check yes to discussing information, then follow up with a phone call. I gave 2 brochures-one from the John Hopkins University website, and one from Magic Foundation. Also, I wrote out SWCAH, then in parentheses put Adrenal Insufficiency. Our ped addressed the emergency IM solucortef and we have provided a vial and needle but it has never been needed. The nurse told me if they ever called 911, the LPN would accompany her until a parent arrived at the hospital-that was peace of mind! Our school has a policy regarding fevers-take your child home and not return until no fever for 24hours. It will be OK and you are thinking of everything! It's also an exciting time!
