re: re: Carrier Testing
Mar. 25th, 2008   1:46pm
My sister and my husband's brother happen to be married (!), so they obviously went for testing because we've had 2 children with CAH. They both had (I think - it was so long ago!) ACTH stimulation tests, which involved taking blood, taking hormones, and then taking blood again. Also, before that, my CAH son, husband and I all had the genetic testing done, so that they could find the exact gene that was the problem in our family. My sister is a carrier, but BIL was not!!! (yeah!), so no CAH risk for them.
