My girls have always loved "Lego" and it's really hard to get anything "girly" in Lego as well. My 9 year old SWCAH daughter is so into "Transformers", she has a huge collection, the movie and knows everything there is to know about Transformers. Another thing I've been looking for is a girly remote control car. My daughters would love one but they are all too boyish. I'm sure they wouldn't mind but it would be nicer if they had some more girly looking ones.
