Could I have CAH,NCCAH or PCOS?
Mar. 30th, 2008   8:35pm
I am a 33 year old mother and I was wondering if most of the illnesses/problems I have suffered from could be related to an underlying condition(perhaps CAH or LOCAH).

Here is a List of my problems/illnesses:

Dark Upperlip Hair as a child, I now have hairy toes, chin an navel as well.

I had warts as a child, I now have psoriasis.

I had abdominal pain with vomiting as a child on several occasions(I was told it was a rumbling appendix), I suffered from constant vomiting/nausea through three entire pregnancies(I have had three miscarrages)

I had frequent blood noses as a child, I now suffer from an itchy/dry nose/throat and have a need to clear my throat often(however a recent change in my diet has had a vast improvement on this)

I am obese and about half a foot shorter than my sister.

I usually crave sugary foods(not at the moment as I am using reductil)

I have always suffered from what I thought were normal levels of anxiety and depression(it was only a few days ago that a close friend of mine told me they were excessive levels), I do have some good days when everything goes my way, most days I am irritable and short tempered. I can count the people I trust on one hand.

I have always had trouble getting to sleep and staying asleep, I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night feeling panicky and frightened, I want to sleep it just seems that my brain wont turn off.

I startle easily and am constantly growling my husband/family for "creeping" up on me.

Occasionally I can hear my heart beating in my ears.

I feel tired a lot of the time, I cant remember the last time I woke up feeling refreshed.

A recent cholesterol test revealed low levels of good cholesterol.

I also have some irrational fears like: one time I went on a ski lift with my husband and he had to hold the bar down in front of me because I kept trying to get off.

Any help/advise would be appreciated, Could I be suffering from CAH,NCCAH or PCOS or am I sounding a bit like a hyperchondriac?

Thanks in advance Sarah. (I also posted this on the late onset board as I wasn't sure which one to post in)

Sarah
